OptMsg Release Notes v1.0.8 — Drag-to-select across messages, contacts and notifications

OptMsg Release Notes v1.0.8

The OptMsg v1.0.8 release notes below list what changed in the OptMsg app on June 12, 2026. Each OptMsg release ships to the iOS and Android apps and to the web app at the same time, so the notes apply to every platform unless a section says otherwise. If you are new to OptMsg, the short version is: your inbox only shows mail from senders you opted in, and each release makes that easier to manage.

Version: 1.0.8

Release Date: June 12, 2026

All Platforms

Drag-to-select everywhere

  • You can now click-and-drag to select multiple items across your message lists, contacts, and notifications — with smarter handling so tapping, scrolling, and selecting never get confused.

Contacts improvements

  • Edit a contact right inside the reading pane.
  • Contact deletions now sync across your devices.
  • Your search text is preserved when you return from viewing a contact.

Compose improvements

  • Stronger protection against accidental double-sends.
  • Fixed an issue where a previous draft could carry over into a new message.
  • More reliable recipient autocomplete, plus a restored “Skip” option when adding a recipient.

More accurate counts

  • Unread and folder counts (Inbox, Drafts, Archive, Trash) now update more accurately and reliably — including right after app launch and after bulk actions.

Tags & folders

  • Tag changes now sync cleanly across devices without flicker.
  • Smarter move/tag-filtered views show only the destinations that actually apply to your selection.

Web & mobile fixes

  • Restored attachment preview on the web.
  • The Sent folder now refreshes automatically after you reply or forward.
  • Pull-to-refresh now works even on short or empty lists.
  • A clearer offline overlay instead of a raw error when you lose connection.
  • Fixed the iOS app-icon badge occasionally resetting to zero.

Overall performance improvements and minor bug fixed
